We met in the summer of 2012, volunteering over the summer at Camp Soar, an overnight camp for children with development disabilities and a family affair for Josh. From our first meeting, we had an instant connection- Josh's very slick comment on Savannah's "cool name" demonstrating flirting expertise. We started dating soon after and went to prom together during our senior year of high school.

Continuing on through college, we were able to make long distance dating work between Northwestern and Purdue. We took turns driving to each others' schools, and while we didn't always get to see each other often, we made the most of every visit. Savannah absolutely loved the accommodations of the sparkling clean Phi Psi house! During our time in college, we spent a summer together living in Dallas, continuing to strengthen our relationship and bond.

We both graduated in 2017 and moved to Chicago, working in different engineering fields and taking time to explore the city and travel the country together. We moved into our first apartment together in 2019 in Wicker Park- a "nice" garden unit with our dog Summer. We moved into a new place as soon as possible once COVID hit, and spent our last 2 years in Chicago loving everything about it, spending time with family and friends, and continuing to develop our careers.

In 2021, we moved together to Austin, TX and started a new life. Together, we worked to find amazing friends and a community, and have absolutely loved our time together in Texas! The past few years have been our best yet. On Memorial Day 2022 in Miami, FL, Josh battled gale force winds and proposed on the roof of our beachside hotel.

And now, we find ourselves staring down yet another major life transition as we pick up from Texas and move to Philadelphia. Neither of us are worried though- We have each other, and we've made it through transition after transition as a team.

We cannot wait to celebrate our love with all of you in July in Chicago!!!!
